I have to admit, I don’t know if Mona was trafficked. She very well may have been—but I doubt so. Singapore law is EXTREMELY draconian towards trafficking, and very few people risk it. In 2021, for example, there were only 11 cases of sex trafficking cases in the country.

As for the book, thank you for the recommendation. I do not think I would read it, however—my third novel is going to be written in the pov of a sex-addicted John, and I’m afraid additional media will interfere with the subjective quality of the book.
